 Each year the cubs camp at Thriftwood just before then end of the school summer holidays.  For the last few years some of the scouts have joined them too.

The archery field.

 For most of the time, the cubs and scouts do separate activities.

Robin Hood?. 
 One of the first activities undertaken by the cubs this year was archery.  Traditional archery targets are placed in a roped off field and the cubs can have a contest to see who is the best shot.

 For this activity the Thriftwood staff are used.  Archery is one of the few activities that we are not able to run ourselves.

Laser guns.

 Its an Akalas dream.  He actually gets to shoot the cubs.  Laser guns are one of the newest activities that is now available at Thiftwood.  Two teams of cubs run around the forest shooting each other with laser pistols and hiding behind bushes and fences.

 But the leaders get bigger and better guns.

 Akela seemed to like the shooting of cubs so much that he had to purchase a big water gun.  But it was no match for an entire pack of excitable cubs.
