SUNDAY

Met at Mikes at 8.30 (in the MORNING !) Steve had to go home to get his hat but left his bag at Mikes. Everyone knackered getting bikes up the station steps. Train delayed by 25 mins. (BR - we're getting there !).

ON THE TRAIN

Got to Ipswich , left the station 11.21. Rest 11.51 , GR 120500 just outside Ipswich. Stopped for lunch etc. at Needham Market , the Lion Pub - ('dead' bit of ship on forecourt). Load of posh cars in the car park; Saab, Audi, etc. Rooks making a racket. Steve did a trick baffled no one. Left 12.55.

IPSWICH STATION

Stopped at Mendlesham Church, left at 2.30 after chimes etc. picked up a lot of anti-abortion bumph. Stopped again at St. Marys Church, Thorndon Parva.Left 3.50.

ENJOYING THE SUN

Arrived at the site at 4.40. Set up tent ,had cup of tea. Went for a walk , found the village idiot. Apparently, you're only allowed to go for a walk on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday until 10 pm. - Silly eh!! Went back to site, had pasta and meat for dinner - yummy, yummy fill my tummy (Steve wrote this). Had a lie down, checked out tent. Decided it was a 'USED BOG ROLL OF A TENT' and should have brought a Force 10.

St. MARY, THORNHAM PARVA

Wandered to pub (didn't get run down - surprise !). First ones in (at 7.30), oops, drank halves (Martins idea to stay sober) Steve's lasted nearly an hour! Some locals arrived and stared us out, beer mats interesting: "Think before you drink before you drive". Moved to pool room once those 'lovely girls' (according to Steve) had finished playing. We played pool and tried to play 'round the clock' at darts. Gave up. Left pub at 10.00. Almost got lost (& very wet) crossing the campsite field. 'Used bog roll' absolutely soaked with dew already.
